All of us want glowing, vibrant and younger-looking skin. But do we ever choose the right diet that is required for healthy skin?
According to a clinical nutritionist at NYU Medical Center in New York City, Samantha Heller, MS, RD “Everything you eat becomes a part of not only your inner being, but the outer fabric of your body as well. The healthier the foods are that you consume, the better your skin will look.”
Some health experts are convinced that when your diet does not include certain foods that are required for healthy skin, even more critical skin problems can result from lack of right diet like eczema and acne.
Another reason for unhealthy looking skin can be associated with bad blood circulation. By bad blood we mean unhealthy blood. Healthy blood brings glow to the skin and keeps it nourished, moist, and problems like dryness and roughness do not occur.
Often ignored or take less seriously as it sounds cosmetic -Improper cleansing – is an important cause of unhealthy skin. It happens many a time that our skin looks clean- superficially; which in realty is not the case.
Dirt and dust hide in the pores of the skin and simply clog sweat glands. Proper cleansing helps to removes the dust and dirt or make-up, which has accumulate through the day.
What is considered bad skin? Rough, dry skin with blackheads and whiteheads is considered bad skin. Including vitamin A or combating deficiencies in iron, iodine and the B Vitamins may help.
Protein and vitamin C are also important for healthy skin. All vitamins of the B group help in getting beautiful skin.
One of the best and highly recommended foods in this connection is brewer’s yeast.
People with an already good skin also notice improvement in feel, look, texture and glow after they have started including brewer’s yeast in their diet. A week of adding two or more tablespoons of brewer’s yeast to the daily diet is enough for the result to show in the form of healthy skin.
Some natural aids for good skin are lime juice, Peach treatment, cabbage pack, yogurt, mint juice, tomatoes, almonds, orange juice etc. All these can be made into packs and applied on the face for a healthier and softer skin.
Chemicals and cosmetic treatments like face-lifts and all cannot do much for long term. You cannot put the clock back after all. We can just postpone the process.
That too if our body and environment react positively to the treatments we are giving ourselves. So stick to the basic good diet no stress rule. Avoid sunrays.
Use umbrella and right sunscreen. Be happy and it will show on your face. Think of it like this nobody ever notices wrinkles on a happy smiling face!
