Stoccareddo is a village about half a mile above the Venice. There is nothing special with this village but something which is amazing about it is the people who live in it. People of these village have extremely high level of cholesterol, triglycerides and sugar in their blood without having any problem.
For example you can find people with cholesterol of as high as 400 but without any symptoms.
However, any problem whereas this level of cholesterol can be fatal in other people.
They eat everything.
Something that seems even more interesting is that the gene pool of this village remained intact from about 800 years ago because even those who were used to leave the village for business or some other purposes were used to get back to village to get married there.
So Maybe the Key to Their Health Is Their Genetic
Of course they do die and have some kinds of diseases but it is because of other normal things and not because of blood sugar, cholesterol and these kinds of problems.
Other kinds of illnesses is less in them.
What does that mean?
You can still be healthy with high blood sugar, cholesterol and triglyceride.
Maybe we have been used to overestimate these factors and so we feel sick when one of them is high in our blood whereas they could not be any problem.
Another amazing thing is that people of this village have never had any problem with each other and have been living with peace.
Maybe this is another key to their health because there is no tension and stress in their community.
