Manic Depressive or Depression Relation With Overdose Suicides

There is about a 15% higher chance of relevant reasons between manic depressive and overdose suicides, and I am going to describe it in more detail in this article.

The majority of those people who attempted suicide were suffering from somatic illness based on a medical study.[modern_footnote]https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24868898[/modern_footnote]

Bipolar or manic depressive can be a result of a combination of genetic and drama or just a drama alone in a person’s life.

Depression

In general, everyone can go through the depression in her/his life, and the symptoms vary from person to person.

People with a genetic background of this disorder will be treated differently.

They already have it in their genes, and when there is an unbalance in their lifestyle, they’re at more risk of depression.

Depression can happen because of:

  • Any life drama or changes
  • Lost of relatives or loved one
  • Changing location
  • Being alone or feeling alone
  • They are surrounded by negative people.
  • Illness
  • Genetic
  • Some medications or drugs
  • and a lot more other reasons

All of those above reasons can cause depressions.

It is usually temporary and can be treated with short term medication, exercise, or changes in your life.

Those changes can be one of the following:

  • Changing a location of where you live
  • Redesigning your home or room
  • New hairstyle and/or makeup
  • Change your job
  • Meet new people
  • More physical activities
  • Have a new partner
  • Change your habits and follow hobbies.
  • Try to be in a happy environment, such as Group activities and challenging games.
  • Avoid being with negative people.
  • Chewing gum
  • See the bright side of life.
  • Don’t forget this: “Tomorrow is always a new day!

How does Depression feel Like?

When you depress, you become very sensitive about everything.

You feel unwanted, unimportant, useless, fragile and broken, worthless, careless, deficient, helpless, alone, disgraceful, weak, and insecure.

Just to let you know that you are none of the above lists. It’s all in your head, and in reality, you are just an average person who went through some kind of drama in your life.

Many abused children are going through depression when they grow up, and in many cases, they don’t know precisely what is causing this type of feeling because they don’t remember the past.

You largely constructed your depression. It wasn’t given to you.

Therefore, you can deconstruct it. [note]Albert Ellis[/note]

So, sometimes you just need someone to tell you that you are not as bad as what you feel you are.

I was depressed once, and I think everyone goes through depression in their life in some specific points.

All I was doing was sleeping to pass the times to see what will come out in the future.

A few months later, I just realized that I just wasted a few months of my life doing absolutely nothing in which I could just go and learn something new or exercise and build my body.

One day, I just woke up and started cleaning my house with loud music and enjoyed what I’ve done.

Then, I went online on YouTube and started learning about communication and how to deal with negativity in your life.

Since then, I’m always positive about everything and very proud of myself by being healthy and happy and alive.

Appreciated everything God gave me and enjoy what I have and live in the moment, learned from the past, and planning for my future.

We all should do the same.

Manic Depressive I

It is a more serious type of depression that can start with hypomanic depressive then bipolar.

Usually, people with manic depressive are getting their extreme mood changes four times a year because of their bipolar disorder.

Also, their symptoms don’t show in people younger than 15 or older than 65 years old.

It belongs to the sandwich ages!

Why is that?

The answer is simple. People at their sandwich age have more pressures and responsibilities, which affects their health.

It can be because of the seasonal changes, or any small changes in their lifestyle.

However, the geographical locations, claimants, and the full moon have a direct effect on people with bipolar disorder behaviors.

Moreover, no scientific descriptions showing a real relevant reason with such behaviors and those affects as mentioned above.

Furthermore, the treatments for the people without any genetic background is much more complicated than the one who already has genetic bipolar disorder.

In severe cases, the patient should be hospitalized because of their behaviors, and they might harm themselves or others.

Usually, they think someone is talking to them all the time and tells them what to do or say, which in the past they thought something supernatural is talking to them.

Nowadays, with science and technology, it can be controlled to certain levels, but in some cases, the patient should have someone to keep an eye on them to take care in order to be safe for himself and the people around them.

How to Diagnose Manic Depression?

There is no lab diagnostic procedure to diagnose manic depressive.

Usually, people with manic depression, seen more than four different physicians until the final diagnostic approves.

It is complicated to diagnose manic or bipolar patients since their mood changes and hard to tell.

In some research centers, they are using some type of tests to diagnose manic or bipolar patients, but it’s not 100%.

However, it is easier to diagnose for people with a family history of manic or bipolar disorders.

The causes of bipolar disorder are unknown, and some scientists believe that it can be genetic and run in the family.

However, for sure, it is related to some brain dysfunction.

In many older cultures, they believe that bipolar people have two or more spirits in their bodies, which has no scientific description yet.

Moreover, any brain concussions can cause this type of trauma and brain disorders.

Sometimes small hit can damage some brain nerves, and we don’t even realize it, and that might happen when the person was a baby and doesn’t remember.

Besides the genetic cause of any mental disorder, including manic or bipolar disorders, there are many other reasons that can lead people to become manic depressive.

Here are some of the main reasons that can lead a person to develop a bipolar disorder;

Manic Depression and Overdose Suicides

Why do we focus on the overdose suicides and not any other types of suicides?

The answer is; Because people with manic depressions are hallucinating, and they think someone is telling them to do or say unusual things.

They think they are in pain or sick, but they are not, and there are no physical signs or evidence of sickness or pain.

In most of the cases, It’s the somatic illness that makes them take unnecessary drugs or medication, and they die because of somatic illness.

Since drugs and alcohol are straightforward to be taken more than the required amount and if they were in their manic mood at the time when they attempted suicide.

However, most of the overdosed suicidal who was suffering from the manic depressive was suffering from bodily illness and, that was the reason for their suicide.

Somatic illness is: People think they are sick and in pain, shortness of breath, or very weak, in which they are completely healthy, and they have no sickness or illness.

Self Poisoning and Manic Depression

The use of alcohol is usually common in people with mood swings or bipolar disorder.

People with manic depressive are taking 10 to 20 percent more alcohol than regular people.

Sometimes they do abuse the amount of alcohol taking in addition to their medication can cause overdose and self-poisoning without noticing it.

Overdose in people with bipolar disorder usually occurs because of not being aware of the risks and self-poisoning, and it’s not done with the purpose of attempting suicide.

In general, when you take any type of medication, you should not take any alcohol since it will make some chemical actions inside your body and poisoning.

Gaining Weight Around the Middle and Stress Linked

Do you know stress can make you fat?

Around the waist, above it, below it, everywhere. This part of the article is for those of us who are between 35 and forty and have noticed fat building up around the waist.

This is not something we can take casually.

Do you have an idea of how dangerous the fat around our middle is?

It increases our risk of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, and a particular type of cancers. It can also cause insulin resistance.

Rearranging our lifestyle plan in specific ways will not only help us do away with the fat around the middle, but we will also be able to successfully prevent health problems in the future. It will make us look better and long term we will live longer and healthier.

The revelations may surprise many readers, but it true that the main reason why people gather fat around their middle is because of the action of the stress hormone called cortisol.

These days, many of us live under chronic stress.

The reason fat gets stored in the middle is because it is close to the liver, and here it can be converted back into energy faster, if and when needed.

After a stressful event, cortisol level in the blood remains high for some time, which in turn increases our appetite as our body gives out a message that we should refuel it after this fighting or fleeing session.

This goes to prove that people who are under constant stress all the time feel hungry all the time too.

The best test is the hip to waist ratio. This gives the true measure of fat around the middle and indicates whether or not you are at risk of all the health risks associated with it.

Get a tape measure and compare your waist measurement at the narrowest point with the width of your hips at the widest point. Divide waist figure by hip figure to get the waist-hip ratio.

If the calculation gives a figure greater than 0.8, and if you are a woman, you need to take action. For men, the danger line is if the calculation results show above 0.95.

The best way to fight the fat around the middle is like I said before can be achieved by incorporating simple changes to the way you eat;
  • Take supplements
  • Approach stress
  • and take to exercise
  • Don’t follow restricted diets.
  • Instead, have small servings often during the day.
  • Add protein to the diet.
  • Stay away from sugar and refined carbohydrates.
  • Eat essential fats
  • Be careful about what you drink, how much what time of the day
  • and change the way you think about food
  • Exercise and learn to identify and deal with everyday stress.

If you are feeling unhealthy, get stress tests done.

Try If you can work out a plan for three months and follow it strictly for three months, the results will show. With the help of a doctor or dietitian, do go for it.

By the end of these three months, you’d be looking good, feeling better, and healthier and would have learned to deal with stress, which is a significant personal feat? To understand what stress is and what harm it can do to you and learning to tackle it is the best technique one can learn in these stressful times.

Conclusion

There is a relation between manic depressive or depression and overdose suicides in general, and people with manic depression are 15% more at risk.

One of the risky behaviors of manic people is that they take more than the usual amount of alcohol or drugs to ease their bipolar mood changes.

When a bipolar person is in its own mood, he/she might use alcohol to ease the symptoms, but that might conflict with the medication and causes drug poisoning.

However, somatic illness can lead people with manic depressive to take more than usual drugs and, as a result, the overdose.

In some bipolar, the somatic illness occurs because they become paranoid and think they are in pain or sick, which there are no signs of physical illness in reality, and it is all in their head.

When you think you are sick, then you take drugs to threaten yourself, and as a result, the overdose might happen.

Manic depression doesn’t have a direct relationship with an overdose, but %10 of people with manic depression are overdose with drugs in their life.
